New! 96-Well Crystallization Microscopy Block Assembly

Published: August 28, 2024

 Designed for Crystallization Microscopy Applications

The Microscopy Block is a modified version of the Para-dox® Micro Photoredox Reaction Block (96970). The components are essentially the same, but the holes in the bottom plate of the Microscopy Block are bigger (4mm, compared to 2.5mm). The larger holes allow access to more surface area of the samples to be imaged or observed. The bottom plate is also anodized black, and the holes are not counter-bored, helping to minimize light interference and reflection for clearer imaging. The Microscopy Block is geared for crystallization and microscopy work; it is not intended for photoredox applications.

  • 96-postion anodized aluminum
  • Use with 5x31mm glass vial inserts*
  • Large diameter holes (4mm) in bottom plate for greater surface area imaging of samples
  • Bottom plate is anodized black, helping to minimize light interference for clearer imaging
  • Non-counterbored holes minimize focusing issues and/or light scattering.**
  • For birefringent polarized light microscopy
  • Works perfectly with both reflective and transmission optical microscopy
  • Ideal for taking microscope images of solids for crystallization screening on a microscale

* 4x21mm glass vial inserts can also be used (requires shorter block screws, ordered separately).
** Note: Because there are no counterbores, the Microscopy Block (961970) is not recommended for use with Lumidox® devices.
